Idk what the hell MMORPGs are doing lately but CU wanting to limit or outright remove vertical progression kills my soul. This looks like a slight improvement on EQ1 graphics right now. ![]() Can bases/towns even survive for more than a few seconds when that many siege engines and players are trying to lay waste? To date, the graphics and animations are absolutely trash. What an absolute cluster fuck those fights are going to be. But then I think about it from the practical standpoint. Is 500v500 even going to be fun? The more i think about it the less i am inclined to think it will be. Thats the point! Strive for an experience that no one has even imagined. I get that CU is striving for something different. I cant think of one instance in gaming where something even close to that has occurred. ![]() But the more I think about it, the less I think they needed to create an engine. Creating an engine from the ground up is very difficult. I dont really care if the project takes 15+ years to be realized.if its a good game I am happy to wait, but I am not seeing improvement between iterations. There is a lot of stuff I am seeing that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. But with that said I am thinking hard about it. I dont think I will request a refund as I dont really need the money and want this project to succeed. I supported because my favorite MMOs were DAOC and Warhammer (i fucking loved Warhammer actually). It does not store any personal data.I am a Warrior 2.0 Forever backer as well. Now, after a lot of work (for a game like CU, it’s not as easy as just dropping the code onto another server), we’re ready to have a weekend test on one based in Germany!”įor more information, visit Camelot Unchained’s official website! “I’ve been talking about opening up a European server for quite some time. ![]() In a recent newsletter, the CEO of the company, Mark Jacobs, stated the following: Many are uncertain that Camelot Unchained will ever be released, but the latest April update gave us some new hopes. In the past months and years, players are being impatient and skeptical for understandable reasons. The game’s very first teaser was released in December 2012, so it’s certain that we’ve been waiting 10 years for the game’s development to complete and release. It first entered Beta phase 1 on Jand has been under ongoing testing ever since. About Camelot UnchainedĬamelot Unchained is a crowfunding game, meaning most of the development is covered by donations paid by the community.
